Question about Schierke

In about chapter 273 Schierke imbues the dragonslayer with an astral being - and I'm wondering if this will tie into the future goal of defeating Griffith. I believe it would make sense that Guts does not achieve this alone, for that has been his greatest growth - accepting the support of others.

Do you think that this is the role that she will play in the coming story? We see her introduction almost IMMEDIATELY following the second resurrection of Griffith. That has to be significant...
