Friend being my matchmaker

How do I ask my friend and her boyfriend to do me a favor?

Okay, this might sound complicated, so here’s what happened about five months ago. I was hanging out with my friend and her boyfriend. Since I’ve been single for a year and felt ready to date again, I asked her boyfriend if he had any single friends. He showed me his friends, and I liked one of them. However, he wasn’t available because he was talking to someone at the time. He then showed me his other friends, but I declined all of them.

About three months later, I found out that he was actually dating the person he was talking to at the time. By then, I had completely forgotten about him. I thought he was cute, but anyway, I rediscovered his friends through Facebook. I originally said no to them, but this time, I’m actually interested in him. They just showed me some bad photos of the guy. (I know that’s really bad of me, but I was drunk at the time.)

I want to ask my friend to ask her boyfriend to play matchmaker if his friend is available. How do I ask my friend?
