Replaying through FR/LG again and this kinda intrigued me enough to revisit this as I had completely forgotten about this little detail from previous playthroughs of the game.

**Theory**: Could the unnamed Rocket Admin that you encounter in the post-game on the Sevii Islands (Five Island) have been Rocket Admin Archer all along?

**Evidence**: Both trainers do use Houndoom as their signature ace pokemon, as well as the Koffing evolutionary line, and the computer does reference experimental data around radio-wave-induced evolution, which is a very similar experiment that was carried out on Johto's Lake of Rage later in the G/S/C series of games.

Seeing as how the Gen 2 games take place three years after the events of FR/LG, it could be that Archer had evolved/matured his team and eventually rose through the ranks of Team Rocket after the events of FR/LG to resurrect Team Rocket as he had stated he would do in FR/LG.

What do you all think? Was Archer actually present in FR/LG, or was it perhaps just a weird coincidence after all?

I'm inclined to think the former as even [Archer's Bulbapedia page](https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Archer#Pok%C3%A9mon_FireRed_and_LeafGreen) has his team from FR/LG Five Island referenced on the page...

Either way, if this was Nintendo's intention, it's really cool how they sneak little easter eggs or foreshadowing of surprises here and there in the series.

Archer on Five Island?
