Anyone else migrated off Clearbit after the HubSpot acquisition? What did you move to?
Our team relied on Clearbit for a couple of years. After the HubSpot acquisition the API behavior shifted, pricing restructured, and it became clear it was being folded into the HubSpot ecosystem rather than maintained as a standalone infrastructure layer. That doesn't work for us, we're not a HubSpot shop.
Spent the last few months evaluating alternatives. Main criteria: API-first, enrichment at scale without being locked to a specific CRM, solid US B2B coverage, honest about match rates.
Tested a few options. People Data Labs is strong on developer experience and raw coverage. FullContact stood out for identity resolution depth, specifically how it handles matching across fragmented identifiers rather than just doing a domain lookup. If someone comes in with a personal email or a partial record the resolution layer works differently from a straight contact database. Fullenrich is worth a look if you want a waterfall setup and are okay managing the billing complexity.
None of them are a perfect drop-in for what Clearbit was as a standalone API. But the independent options have genuinely improved.
Curious what others landed on, especially if you needed enrichment to work outside of a specific CRM ecosystem.
