Fans won't have to wait much longer to see **Warlock: Dungeons & Dragons** in action.

Following new details revealed at **Gen Con 2026**, Wizards of the Coast and Invoke Studios have confirmed that the game's first official gameplay showcase will premiere during **Gamescom Opening Night Live on August 25**.

What we know so far:

* **Maggie Robertson** voices the legendary archmage **Tasha**, while **Tricia Helfer** joins the cast
* The game swaps classic turn-based combat for a **real-time, third-person action** experience
* Players step into the role of **Kaatri**, a warrior empowered by a mysterious magical pact
* Currently targeting a **2027** release on PC and consoles

The shift to action-focused gameplay marks a major change for recent **Dungeons & Dragons** games. Whether longtime fans embrace this new direction remains to be seen, but Gamescom should offer the first real look at how it all comes together.
