Wanting to become either an electrician or plumber, whats the best way to enter?

For context I'm going into my senior year of high school and looking at finding out how to move away and starting a career, I have to be out of my house by august 2027 and I know I want to do trades but I don't know where to start, and was thinking to finding a way to get up to new york or chicago. (I come from the rural panhandle in florida), just curious if anybody has any advice on what to do up until that point, thank you!
