Could a high school do a "movie-in-concert"?
So you know those really cool concerts where they have a movie playing without the score and they have a live orchestra playing it? Me and my friends thought it would be so so cool if our high school band and orchestra could do something like that. (Long story short, the theater director is a massive jerk so the music director is boycotting the school musical but kids who do pit still want to have a pit experience this year). But there's a lot of copyright laws to get through because we want to charge money for the performance (straight to the broke music program), and we don't even know where to find music, etc. Has anyone ever done this or have any legal general helpful tips? Thank you so much :)
