Tips for newbies

I want to replace the plastic film that acts as a distribution point for power to a tachometer/gauge cluster. But I have no experience in designing my own pcb, I know a few technical terms so I’m not super new, I just never have designed one. Since it’s just a power distribution point, and not logic based, it only needs to maintain signal integrity and support power to bulbs. I have all the wiring schematics for it, and I can physically see the traces as it’s in clear plastic film. What steps should I take to make the pcb, and what software would you recommend.
