Ghoulcaller gisa question

Ive got a deck im testing built around ghoulcaller gisa and i was wondering if i put a thornbite staff on her would the death from her sacrifice other creature ability untap her or would i need an additional death to happen before it would trigger

To make an answer a little quicker and easier so yall dont have to look them up ill copy the card text from both

Ghoulcaller gisa:
Black,tap, sacrifice another creature: create X 2/2 black zombie creature tokens, where X is the sacrificed creature’s power.

Thornbite staff:
Equipped creature has”2, tap: this creature deals 1 damage to target creature or player” and “whenever a creature is put into a graveyard from play, untap this creature.”
whenever a shaman creature comes into play, you may attach thornbite staff to it.
