Artists, how did you find yourself through your art?

Have any of you discovered your gender/sexuality through your art? Im fem + female, but have had quite the sudden realization that the characters I draw (mostly queer men in gay relationships) are actually an uncomfortably in-depth sneak peek into who I actually am as a person, and that I am nowhere near as settled in my own skin as I originally thought. Which is super, super spooky, and im feeling a little shaken up about it, so Id honestly really like to hear some other artist’s experiences so I can feel a little less alone.

This shit is scary, y’all!
