Am I tripping or did Netflix suddenly change the dub for the original series?

I first watched NGE in dub last year around November. I decided to watch it again after seeing EoE in theaters the other week and usually watch sub but go to dub when I’m watching while eating or hobbying.

With that being said it sounds different, subtle differences for every character overall and a huge difference with some. I recall seeing another post mention how the blu ray copy has the original dub while Netflix has a new modern dub.

Could’ve sworn the original dub was what Netflix had last year. Did they change it or is it my mind just playing tricks on me since I hadn’t seen NGE in dub since the first time I did in November?
