Here are the details

Toyota Highlander Hybrid XLE AWD 2022 MODEL

51000 MILES. Personal use car with single owner and no accident history l.

Bought through carmax for sticker price of $39000

Carmax offered a decent trade in price of 10000$ for my Honda Accord 2015 Lx(with 68000miles on it)

But looking at invoice, sales person talked me into buying max care for an additional $1879 since the car is out of factory warranty, plus since it a hybrid I could develop any electrical issues. This is kind of weird because Toyota hybrid are known to be reliable.

So I opted for $1879 max car package for 36 months or up to 86000 miles. I don't know if it's necessary because Toyota is known for reliability. Feels like I did not get a good deal at the end of the day. So want your opinion on this purchase.

Regardless I made the purchase and there are few cosmetic issues I pointed out - like moudly trim on door panels, dirty door bottom panel, plastic chrome grill being rusty and highlander badge have paint fade issues. But salesman put a work order for taking care of them after the sale agreement only.

So I'm not sure if I did the right thing here. Seeking some genuine advice if I did the right thing.
