Thought I’d Feel Better…
It’s been a couple months since I hit my goal weight and I’m now about 10 lbs below. Went from 185 to 130 in around 5 months and then been trying to recomp for a couple more months. If I lost another 10 I’d be underweight for my height. I’ve been lifting weights consistently and eating healthy, tracking macros, etc... this whole time.
The problem is where I was fatter than most people when I started, now I’m just an average fat person instead. I look “skinny fat”. I did everything right and I still just look worse than most people. I thought losing weight would help with my confidence but it honestly has just made me more aware of how lacking I am physicalIy.
I’ve been trying to lose fat for a while now, eating high protein for months, lifting 4 times a week. I’m at 16.9% bf according to InBody, which could mean I’m closer to 22%. That’s still overweight, so what gives?
Was my hard work for nothing? I’m trying so hard man I just wish I made real progress.
