I made a top 100 list that assigns value to most achievements.
Every All-Nba player from 1979 onwards was looked at and given a numerical value from the following list
- All Rook 2nd Team
- All Rook 1st Team
- ROTY
- Stats Leaders
- Champ
- All Def 2nd Team
- All Nba 3rd Team
- All Def 1st Team
- All Nba 2nd Team
- DPOY
- All Nba 1st Team
- MVP
- FMVP
Alongside these other rules
- A “of the year/MVP” trophy removes a respected team achievement from that players total count. Eg. Kobe Bryant gets 15 total points from being a champ, as the other two championships he won FMVP, giving him 26 points but not the 10 points from being considered a champion.
- Another example is that if a player had one DPOY, that DPOY cancels out the 1st team all defensive selection it applies to when counting. Same for MVP/all-NBA and ROTY/all rookie
- If two or more players shared the same numerical count, I decided who was over who in my opinion.
I acknowledge Ben Simmons is in the list, but the numbers are what they are.
Here is the list:
