AI job interviews might be the worst thing to come out of the AI boom.

I finally gave one of those AI interviews a chance because I figured, "Maybe it's not as bad as people say."

It was wayyy worse.

The AI kept mishearing what I was saying and "helpfully" autocorrecting my answers into complete nonsense. Imagine trying to explain your tech stack while the software rewrites your experience in real time. How is that supposed to evaluate candidates fairly?

I also don't understand why some companies are replacing the first HR conversation with an AI interviewer. A recruiter can ask follow-up questions and clarify misunderstandings and you're entrusting that to a bot? An AI just guesses what you meant and moves on. I'm not anti-AI. I use AI tools every day for coding, debugging, and learning. But this shit gets me so mad.
