34” 1440p ultrawide vs 32” 4K vs 39” 5K2K with a 5070 Ti?
I currently have a 27” Alienware AW2726DM 1440p OLED and an RTX 5070 Ti. I like the monitor, but it feels a little small, and I previously had a curved monitor that I really liked.
I’m considering:
Alienware AW3426DW — 34”, 3440×1440 curved OLED
Alienware AW3225QF — 32”, 4K curved OLED
Alienware AW3926QW — 39”, 5120×2160 curved OLED (when it comes out)
I mainly play demanding AAA games like Battlefield 6, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, and I’m also thinking about upcoming titles like Gears of War, War Dogs, and similar games. I prefer high settings and good base frame rates without relying heavily on Frame Generation.
For anyone who has made a similar jump, how noticeable is 4K versus 3440×1440 when using DLSS? Is 4K DLSS Performance clearly better-looking than 1440p DLSS Quality, or is the higher FPS and ultrawide experience more worthwhile? Also curious whether 34” felt substantially more immersive than 27”, despite being about the same height.
