Keyboard, mouse not working after Linux install

Hello, wondering if anyone has had keyboard/mouse issues after install of Linux and have any advice.

I've tried installing a few different flavours of Linux, the most recent is Mint 22.3 Xfce

Mouse and keyboard are fully functional in BIOS and during installation where I can select language, set partitions and type names.

Once installed and in the rebooted fresh Linux operating system, the keyboard is dead and mouse clicks don't work.

System: i7-4790K, Gigabyte GA-Z97X-UD5H
