[TOMT][Book] Country noir or similar genre book about a young man who’s father is a drug dealer/kingpin in their area

The book has a scene where someone owes them money and the man drives out to a cabin where two lackeys have the guy that owes them tied up. One of them throws some kind of acid on him, not to kill him just to hurt. I remember another scene where the man goes to see his mother and they smoke weed together. It was written fairly recently, at least 2000 or sooner.
