How do you play without bots?

Returning player here after quite some time. How do I stop playing bots in every lobby? I often play at strange hours so I get less people will be on playing but surely there are full lobbies for a game only like a year old? The bots are so unenjoyable and I dont believe there is a server browser here so what can i do?
