Art folder too small?

I seem to having an issue with getting all of my art files to fit in my art folder. Its almost like the folder has a file limit and cant hold any more than that. I still have 1 gig left in that partition and only like 121 more art files to transfer. But even after just trying to transfer those specific ones and it transferring successfully, scrolling in wlaunchelf stops way short of the end, and they dont come up in opl either. Anyone else experienced this or have a workaround?
