Hi! I'm new to premium matcha and would love to get some recommendations.

I recently fell in love with the matcha from YUNI Japan at Mitsukoshi BGC. Their matcha had the exact flavor profile I enjoy—roasty, nutty, slightly earthy, and creamy. It reminded me the taste profile I look for in coffee, which is probably why it immediately clicked with me.

I came from the specialty coffee scene and would love to dive deeper into the matcha world.

1ST - TASTE PROFILE

I'm looking for matcha with these flavor notes:

🌰 Nutty

🔥 Slightly roasted/toasty

🌿 A little earthy

🥛 Creamy

I'm not looking for matcha that's overly grassy, seaweed-forward, or too floral.

I'll mostly be making iced matcha lattes at home, but I'd also like something that's enjoyable on its own once I become more experienced.

2ND BRAND:

🍵 Brand and blend recommendations (Marukyu Koyamaen, Ippodo, Horii Shichimeien, Kanbayashi, YUNI, or any others)

🛒 Trusted Orange app or local PH sellers

3RD BEST KITS:

🥣 Recommendations for a good matcha kit/set (chasen, bowl, etc.) for making quality matcha lattes at home

4TH RATIO:

I've done a little bit of research and i found out that 4g matcha, 40ml water, 90ml preferred milk, and 7-8g of preferred syrup is the sweet spot?

Thanks in advance! Looking forward to learning more about matcha and hearing everyone's recommendations.

note: this post was created using the help of chatgpt. Since i really have zero knowledge on the matcha scene.
