Dual Boot Linux Mint Not Working

I have a Minisforum Minipc that I use as my home server currently running windows. I wanted to play around with Mint, so I installed it in an M.2 SSD that is in an external USB hub. In the BIOS I have set USB as the first boot option followed by the internal SSD but the PC always boots first in windows. Any help appreciated.
