New grower tips

Ok so, I have a few plants out doors, nothing special, they just started to bud. Any tips for a new grower to get the best quality/yield out of them? They are about 9ft tall but kinda skinny. I just wanna do the best I can for my first ever grow. Any newbie tips/tricks would be appreciated.
