Nervous about starting Bupropion/Wellbutrin while on Duloxetine/Cymbalta (prescribed for nerve pain)

I’ve been on Cymbalta 60mg for several years now for chronic facial nerve pain (somehow not diagnosed with Trigeminal neuralgia)

It works great to manage the pain but it does absolutely nothing for my depression, if anything it makes it worse because I have vivid dreams dm nightmares of past trauma. It also makes sleep excessively and it’s extremely hard to wake up.

Anyway I started hearing great things about Wellbutrin and it makes people less tired and can even help with appetite control.

My psychiatrist was kind of hesitant about prescribing both. But said I can try low dosage of both to start and stop if I have negative side effects.

Anyone else using this combo or know of anyone with success stories?
