I (F24) got rejected by a friend (M24). Should I continue the friendship?

Two months ago, I confessed my feelings to a friend, and he rejected me, saying that he only saw me as a friend.

He told me, "It doesn't mean I didn't reciprocate your feelings; it means our friendship is over."

For the two weeks after my confession, I tried to be tough. I didn't want him to know that I was affected by the rejection, so I tried to keep things the same and act like everything was normal.

Three weeks after the confession, he left the city. I removed him from my social media accounts. He's in Bible school, where his phone is confiscated, so I don't think he knows that I removed him.

Two months have passed. Recently, his brother asked me, "Hey, are you going to keep being friends with him, or are you going to ignore him and stay away from him?"

I replied, "I don't know. Why? Will he feel something negative about it?"

His brother said, "Yeah, because he'll know that you're ignoring him."

I told him, "I think he'll be fine."

I'll be seeing him again in three months, but I don't know if I want to continue the friendship. I'm scared that my feelings for him will come back or become even stronger, and I don't want to get hurt again. At the same time, I feel guilty for wanting to end the friendship.
