Hi everyone, and welcome to r/VirtualSociety!

We’re Cats & Foxes, a small indie team from France, and we’re creating VirtualSociety: a creative life sim and sandbox where you can build places, create characters, design interactions, and turn your ideas into living, playable worlds.

But we don’t want this subreddit to become just another development announcement feed.

We’d like it to be a place where builders, storytellers, life-sim players, roleplayers, modders and curious people can:

• Follow the development of VirtualSociety

• Ask us questions and give honest feedback

• Share ideas for characters, places, interactions and stories

• Discuss the systems that make virtual worlds feel alive

• Show what they create once more of the game becomes available

• Help shape the community around the game from the beginning

VirtualSociety is still in development, and many parts of the game will continue to evolve. We want to be open about what already exists, what we are currently working on, and what remains part of our longer-term vision.

At its heart, the idea is simple:

Build a place.

Create the people who live there.

Decide how they interact.

Then play the world you imagined — alone or with others.

To get the conversation started, tell us something about yourself:
