I’m trying to recover my old account from back in the day

I am having an issue recovering my old Xbox account. I know the email on the account, as well as the gamer tag. But I don’t know the password. I can fill out the whole password recovery form. But then when I send it off I either get a email back saying “not enough information” or I just don’t get an email at all.
Tried calling Microsoft but I just get the bot and the bot doesn’t help because it just redirects me their form.
