Do you ever rewrite your own writing because it sounds too "AI-like"?

This happened to me recently, and it was kind of funny. I wrote something entirely by myself, read it back, and thought it sounded so polished that people might assume AI wrote it.

So I actually went back and made it simpler. I shortened a few sentences, removed unnecessary transitions, and made it sound more conversational.

The final version wasn't as "perfect," but it felt much more natural.

Has anyone else experienced this? Have you ever edited your own writing not because it was wrong, but because it sounded too polished or too much like AI
