I just found out my boyfriend was accused of rape

I (22)F and my bf (22)M have been together for well over a year. Our relationship has been rocky recently but we were trying to work it out. Everything blew up when i reposted us on my instagram story. Someone I know from university very loosely told me that he raped her freshman year (2022). My heart dropped to my stomach and I asked him if he knew her. I showed him a picture and at first and he said he didn't know her and then i told him that she said they had a sexual encounter and showed him more pictures, and then he says "yeah we did". I told him to tell me what happened and he said that at the beginning of freshman year they had sex a few times and then the last time she came over to hangout and he asked her twice if she wanted to have sex and she said no. Then she went to the bathroom and he asked again after and she said yes and they had sex she left and he blocked her.

I asked her what happened and her story and the title 9 report was way worse. I won't go into detail but she said that he wouldn't let her leave the room.

Apparently she didn't file the report until the later part of their sophomore year (2024) and he lost all of his friends because of it. I just found out yesterday and Im so upset. Im not really sure what to do.
