I just deranked from a DRAW (-2 points). Is losing points for a tie really necessary?
Like, I get how competitive MMR works, but man, getting punished for a draw just feels totally backwards.
I literally just lost my rank because the game handed me a -2 point penalty on a tied match. I really don't get how this is fair at all. We sweat it out to prevent a loss, but it feels like I could have just flat-out lost the game and it honestly wouldn't have cost me much more.
Is it really necessary to add a point loss to a draw? It completely kills the motivation to clutch out a tie. Curious to hear what you guys think, because this point distribution feels incredibly punishing for no reason.
