Do I '29M' propose to my partner '29F' with the original engagement ring or buy a new one?

So, I'm going to propose to my partner, I plan on doing it on her 30th birthday in Venice as a surprise trip.

We have been together since aged 16 and we separated after 7 years due to some issues I had and I wasn't doing anything to resolve them... ( Depression, Trauma, all that stuff ). During that time I kept the engagement ring and forgot about it.

I sorted myself out and we found each other again and things have been fantastic for 4 years now, we are buying a house and moving up in our careers and it feels natural and her 30th is the perfect opportunity.

Do I use the original ring and spend more on the Venice trip or do I buy a new ring for the new chapter? I would love some opinions, thanks all!
