Graduating Cybersecurity Master’s soon. Do I need to learn specific tools?

Basically as the post says, I am graduating my master’s degree in Italy soon and I have no idea how the professional life works. Should I work on specific tools for the companies I plan to apply to, or is that something that I will learn inside? Should I work on obtaining expensive certifications or is my degree? Is it normal that I haven’t really picked red or blue team or focused on the skills of one of them?
