[AU] Revolut and transaction disputes
Honestly was primarily writing to see if others have experienced the same issue, but I'm limited in my options for tags.
I stupidly fell for an impersonation scam site that was impersonating tcgplayer.com (the scam site is now closed thanks to my reports to namecheap and shopify).
Within a few minutes, I realised the domain was not the same as the legitimate site. So I filed a dispute and was assured by support that I had provided plenty and would be fine.
However, less than 24 hours (more like 20-22 hours) after my dispute was made, I was emailed advising that my dispute had been rejected/closed.
The email mentioned what revolut had done to help. And NONE of that included trying to work with the receiving bank to investigate and attempt to get my money back. Which is usually the process in disputed transactions (after other steps).
Now, I want to make it very clear, I did not expect to get my money back. I hoped I would, but didn't expect it.
All I expected was a lengthy and thorough attempt by revolut.
Has anyone ever dealt with similar issues in terms of a dispute having little to no lengthy effort put into it?
I do not believe you can undergo the process to properly investigate and attempt to resolve a dispute in 20-22 hours.
