Instructor buying skis for the upcoming season
Hi guys,
So I’ve got my BASI level 2 ski instructors qualification and am going to be doing a season teaching next year. I’ve got some old all-mountain skis which are a bit worse for wear and am looking to buy some new ones. Regarding gear, I’m absolutely clueless and am looking for some advice.
Are all-mountain skis the best option for a season of teaching? Outside of lessons I usually tend to stay on-piste.
Are 2nd hand skis a good alternative to save some money? Regarding budget I would ideally like to spend no more than £500, however I would be willing to stretch it if there’s value in it.
What are the best brands to look for in terms of quality?
Any other general maintenance tips would be greatly appreciated as like I said when it comes to gear I really have no clue.
Thanks in advance guys.
