Bach Science to go to Doctorate of Vet med... help!
Hey all! Thought this might be the best place to post.
I'm 20, went straight into a bachelor of pharmacy with honours at UNE on campus, hated it, dropped out, picked up a bachelor of science at CSU online, and to be very honest have spent more time working and generally being a stupid teenager than I have doing my schoolwork. My grades are subpar and it's going to be a little while before I graduate. I want to get a doctorate after I hopefully graduate this degree, with my backup being picking up an agriculture degree to go into RnD or agronomy.
But I'm desperate for veterinary and I want to know how to fix the mess I've made, because I've heard it is ridiculously competitive. Also I don't think my CSU grades are good enough to transfer into a Veterinary Bachelors? My ATAR is, just not my grades. I would do that if I thought I could.
I'm not hugely sure what I'm asking for. Currently working at a car parts shop but I've got a lot of farm work experience, plan on going up north next year, worked with racehorses for a while, and live on a property. All I want to know is how to up my chances at getting into the Doctorate after this degree.
Thanks!
