Best AI tools for creating consistent characters?
I've been testing a bunch of AI tools for the past 3 months or so as I build out an AI influencer program. The below AI image/video generators have been the best of the bunch for character consistency. Sharing for awareness + to see if others share the same POV.
Mage.space: locking in characters from scene to scene is clutch. The Characters system lets you save a face and reuse it across images and video, so identity drift basically stops being your problem.
Midjourney (Omni Reference): best pure aesthetic of the bunch, and Omni Reference holds a face pretty well across stills. Catch is there's no native video and the content filter is tight, so it's one piece of the pipeline, not the whole thing.
Google Nano Banana (Gemini): honestly unreal at keeping a face consistent across edits. Change the outfit, the lighting, the background, and it's still clearly the same person. The filters are heavy though, so it's more of an editing tool than something you run a whole program on.
Kling AI: the video side. Character reference carries the face into motion better than most, and the lip sync is solid. Burns through credits fast once you're generating real volume.
Flux + a character LoRA: if you're technical, train a Low-Rank Adaptation (LoRA) on your character once and the face is reusable forever. Most control, most setup. Not for everyone.
What's everyone else running. Anyone cracked full image to video consistency without stitching 4 tools together?
