Commonwealth as British Revolution
Apologies if this has been suggested before, but I was thinking the Cromwellian Commonwealth of England, Scotland and Ireland might be a cool idea for a British Revolution.
Between 1649 and 1660, the English overthrew and executed their king and the resulting state was run essentially like a military dictatorship headed up by Puritan soldiers and parliamentarians (Roundheads).
A lot of potential for cool pike and shot cards (and units) for the New Model Army.
The impact of Cromwell's Revolution was felt in Britain's colonies and he even pursued an expansionist policy in the Carribbean so I think it fits (though maybe only Fortress Age).
What do you all think?
