Best 1440p gaming monitor under $600?
Upgrading from my old school dell lcd monitor that's finally given up, so pretty much anything at this point is going to feel like a big jump. but i do want to actually get the right one instead of impulsively buying whatever's top of a "best of" list.
Mainly play competitive shooters (Valorant, some CS2) but also want it to look good for single-player stuff, so don't want to sacrifice too much on color or contrast for refresh rate alone.
Thinking of one of these but open to more options.
Alienware aw2735df ($800 new but i found a deal on fb marketplace for $550) seem like the sweet spot on paper bcs it seems to be good for fast response time and ACTUAL picture quality + is an OLED. but im curious if the OLED burn in worry is overblown? Coming from someone who isn't used to running a static HUD 8 hrs a ay
Samsung odyssey OLED g6 ($400) is my second pick. This one seems to have a high refresh rate + OLED but dk if it compares to alienware in day to day usage or just on a spec sheet.
AOC q27g3xmn ($150) (Why do these all have so many letters lol). This one is non OLED and way cheaper but the panel quality gaps are noticeable to me. But Coming from a dold school block for a monitor this isn't that much of an issue for me
Curious abt the burn in risk on the OLED options since that's my biggest hesitation rn. I'd appreciate everyone’s two cents on these.
