Some thoughts on her and Jake’s personality types

I remember seeing a clip of Jake and Tara in the car where Tara played this one emo song, and Jake was shocked and asked her who showed her this song. Tara was saying something like “what, I can’t find a song by myself?” But then admitted someone showed her that song. That made me think of how these type of people, who are very social but not for lack of better word “intelligent” enough to develop their own interests, end up forming their likes and dislikes based on the people they interact with. Not sure if intelligent is the right word but I couldn’t think of how to phrase it.

I found it interesting how Jake was quick to think someone showed her this song rather than think she discovered it by herself. I could tell she isn’t really interested in music as a whole, and is just a casual listener of pop music and likes music for the vibe. I feel like these people are usually not intrinsically interested in things unless they discover it through someone, or a social setting. That’s why she’s so into that y2k party music aesthetic, because her taste in music is about the vibe and aesthetic. Like that 2010 party music scene, with Kesha, pitbull, etc. Her interests basically revolve around socializing because she’s a very outgoing person.

I can see how her and Jake were compatible enough to be in a long term relationship. I know Jake said he’s autistic, and tara might be neurodivergent but definitely not autistic, more like the adhd side of neurodivergence. (Btw I’m autistic myself so I’m not saying autistic as an insult lol). So they balanced each other out, but I think Jake just stopped being into it at some point, and stopped feeling attracted to her because they were together for a long time. Like one day he got the ick because she wasn’t “autistic” enough if that makes sense. Her personality might’ve seemed vapid to him since he’s autistic, and he also got bored with being with one person and wanted to sleep around. Just some thoughts, I don’t know if it sounds dumb, but anyone else who’s neurodivergent might understand what I’m trying to say lol. Pls give me your thoughts even if you disagree with my thought process here because I’m genuinely fascinated by this idk why
