I’m the wife that went inpatient last week…
…and all I can say is that if be dead without my husband.
He hid the benzos, he took me into urgent care, he rented a hotel and stayed patiently down state outside the VA inpatient psychiatric clinic.
He took my calls, visited me, hugged me when the nurses said no contact.
I cried so much while I was away from him, but coming back home has felt even worse at times.
Because I don’t want to be a burden.
I woke him up at 02:00 this morning after having another horrifying nightmare. He held me while I sobbed quietly.
I’m a 100% disabled combat veteran on top of being Bipolar I.
This man has stood by me through everything.
Goodness I love him so much.
Thank you for the kindness which you extol into us. Most wouldn’t survive without someone like you keeping us together. I’m sorry that you share in our suffering - even when you don’t have to.
Your hearts are special. You are beautiful souls.
Thank you.
