Future prospects after masters of counselling (AUS)

Hi, I have gotten an offer to study at Monash University in counselling field. I am a little skeptical in choosing between counselling or psychology because I have heard that counsellors are not paid anywhere near entry level psychologists. Is it true? Are there good job prospects after doing masters of counselling? Can anyone with masters of counselling share experiences and salary ranges.

Will it really be worth it? I am facing a lot of anxiety on choosing the wrong career path and regret I might feel later.
