Would Rudeus and Eris still be alive without Ruijerd?

---- Spoilers up to Season 1, Episode 17 ----

When Rudeus and Paul reunite, Paul says something along the lines of, "Yeah, but they had a freaking Superd as a bodyguard. Of course they made it here." And honestly, I don't think he's wrong.

Ruijerd was so overwhelmingly strong that all Rudeus really had to worry about was how to overcome the prejudice against the Superds. He almost never had to worry about his own safety or Eris's.

If Ruijerd had never met them, do you think they would've made it back to Paul? Personally, I think they would've died pretty quickly, most likely from hunger. Without Ruijerd's third eye, finding prey would've been much harder, and without him they would've been completely lost since they didn't even have a map or know where the hell they had ended up after the teleportation.
