After enough wash cycles, what proves bedding was built well?
New bedding is almost impossible to judge because everything looks good before normal use starts. The elastic is tight, seams are flat, corners fit properly, and there has not been enough friction for pilling or thinning to show up but after a while it starts to show tensiion due to the wear and tear. Newer bedding companies also cannot honestly offer decades of owner history, so construction details and early wear patterns matters. more
I would rather know where the first failure usually appears and which early wear point gives the clearest warning that bedding will not survive regular use and washing?
