Pegasus
Who would have imagined,
That unfortunate souls such as these,
Would be thrust upwards by coalition,
Placed on the back of fate as it flies;
Wings beating against the wind,
Drowning the clamour beneath the skies,
In valour and silence,
Designer violence,
Magnitudes above their own small scopes;
Delivering velvet seductions,
Blank books no one will read,
Shaking every hand,
Caressing every cheek;
Bloodying every word,
Centering themselves.
