Recently I posted about my ignorance on the matter regarding CPU sockets. Thanks to you guys for educating me about my situation, which ended up being bent pins rather than my thought of the socket being burnt. Microcenter replaced my mobo due to their mishandling of my pc with a TUF-B850 motherboard and upon inspecting, I noticed a funky socket again 🥲

Knowing this, I still decided to set up the pc to run it and see if it works. It does, but at the price of sudden pc restarts. It happened just now again when I was watching youtube, but originally happened when I tried running Fortnite. Thinking it has to do with chip drivers, I updated those and CPU drivers and I just got hit with the most recent restart.

I had not messed with it since I waited for my RMA’s to come through, even when AMD did overnight shipping and said CPU has integrated graphics, I did not do anything and waited for all parts to come through. They also held onto my pc days after promised date, talking about how it’ll be prioritized due to the time crunch for sending my parts because my CPU was on its last month. (This was when I originally sent it back to get them to look at the mobo damage they had done without making it seem like it was my doing). I regret not taking closer pics of the socket issue.

Say it ain’t so. Another CPU socket issue
