Forward planning dates

I’ve been on a few dates with a guy from a dating app. We both get on really well and I enjoy seeing him. We message regularly between dates usually every few days and we both initiate. He has planned and paid for first few dates but I’ve notice he doesn’t plan very far ahead.

After each date we both say we want to see each other again then usually sometime the next week he will message that he’s free these days what suits me. I’m used to guys locking in date further ahead usually right after previous date. We both work the same hours each week so it’s not like he’s waiting to see what days he’s off.
