Given that sprites are seemingly here for the long-haul, after “Gotta Catch Them All” dopamine-modulating mechanics have bombastically increased the player-base, it’s a bizarre choice that Epic crowned TheBurntPeanut as the front-runner of sprite collabs. Nevertheless, I believe Epic can redeem themselves with the ever iconic internet legend himself, The Annoying Orange; a zesty-inclusion for everyone’s sprite collection.

For his ability, this mythical sphere of fructose and frustration could cause a de-buff to nearby players, potentially slow them down as they become consumed by pure irritation from the pesky taunts of our monochrome friend. Upon an opponent’s demise, as the threat of returning to the lobby looms, the last word they hear a lullaby from the kitchen angel of oblivion; “knife”. Maybe even a cute little animation; a reward for those who carry the irritating citrus.

Honestly, if Fortnite is going to collaborate with content creators in crafting in-game mechanics, at least give us something that holds a little more juice. The sprites potential cannot be held by the hands of just one V-Tuber. Oh no, a legacy that heavy must be grasped in the fruity hands of a true titan.

tldr; hey peanut - knife.
