Looking for a cozy, no-pressure Discord book club?

Our first reading month has officially begun and we'ld love to welcome new members!

We're currently reading The God of the Woods by Liz Moore, but don't worry if you're joining late, our book club is built around reading at your own pace and you're always welcome to join us.

For September, we're trying something new with two book of the month picks under the same theme (autumn vibes): one non-spicy read and one spicy read. Suggestions are currently open!

About us:
Royal Reader Club is part of our Discord community, Queendom, where we've already grown into a lovely community of around 80 members. Not everyone is active all the time, so it still has a cozy, relaxed feel rather than being overwhelming. Beyond books, you'll also find conversations about games, hobbies, witchy stuff, mental health and everyday life. We strive to be a safe, welcoming space and don't tolerate any kind of bullying, harassment or discrimination. Queendom is a moderated, welcoming community with clearly organized channels, dedicated mods and role-based access to help keep everything easy to navigate and comfortable.

Our book club is built for anyone who's ever felt life is too busy or that traditional book clubs just weren't made for them. There are no voice/video calls or weekly schedules, just channels and threads for talking about the BOTM whenever it suits you. Every month we read one book together, chosen through community nominations and voting, with different genres and monthly themes.

Since Royal Reader Club is still new, we're building it together as we go and we'ld love to hear your ideas, hopes and wishes for the club! Whether it's book bingo, optional buddy reads or reading sessions, reading challenges, discussion prompts, themed events or something completely different, we'ld love to hear your suggestions. Everything would always be completely optional, as our goal is simply to offer fun ways to participate while still keeping the book club no-pressure and cozy.

- Main chat is spoiler-free, with separate chapter threads for spoiler talk

- DNF'd it, started late, reading behind? Still welcome to chat and share your opinion

- Mood boards, playlists, favourite quotes, all the creative extras are welcome too

- No participation quotas! Conversation is always welcome and encouraged, and we'ld love to hear what you think whenever you feel like sharing.
