Anyone else from a small CA firm struggle with insecurity?
I'm doing my CA articleship in a small firm.
Lately I've been feeling insecure because I see people in bigger firms getting exposure to larger audits, listed companies, and more structured training.
Sometimes during audit or bank work, I feel like my understanding isn't good enough. I worry that I'm missing out on learning opportunities and that I'll be behind others when I become a CA.
The thing is, I genuinely want to become technically strong. I'm willing to study and work hard, but sometimes I wonder if my environment is holding me back or if it's just my own lack of confidence. By the way I am 2 year article and 7 months are left I am bored of all this plus I think so that in 2 years you can't learn everything man.
For those who did articleship in a small firm:
Did you also feel this insecurity?
Were you able to catch up later?
What helped you become a competent CA despite limited exposure?
I'd really appreciate hearing your experiences.
