Disclaimer: I don't want to come off as toxic. It's criticism. It may sound harsh, but i'm not insulting anyone. It's a rant after all\^\^

(This is about the pre downloaded smartphone youtube app)

Honestly, this box covers too many different things. Replies, likes "other activity on my comments," and activity on my own channel or posts (which I luckily don't have)

I actually like replies to my comments to get opinions of others. But I don't care if I get 6 or 8 likes on a comment I make. Is it not even a big number?!? Why should I care? "Edit: thanks for the 7 likes guys" sounds even more stupid. Reddit gives you these notifications at higher and more important number thresholds, at least

Other activity on my comment is also a part of that. I think it's replies to replies from others, which I am mostly not a part of. I have that turned on in reddit, but mainly because the comment sections are much easier to manage here (which is also a whole different rant I could go on about)

Then there are the own channel activity. I don't know what it includes, I suppose comments and probably likes too. But I know that it would flood your reply section, too, which makes it even harder to oversee

The whole setting could and should be broken down into five different switches at MINIMUM

It spams my notifications with unnecessary information

So that was my small rant. I hope

My youtube notifications are spammed with telling me that I got likes on my comments. Can't change that without turning replies off🙄 (Rant in the description)
